I immediately wrote and applied for five different grant opportunities when I joined my graduate dissertation lab. I then followed up on my own successful applications by mentoring several other students through their own grant applications.
National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow
I funded my own PhD research through a successful NSF-GRFP entitled, “Uncovering molecular mechanisms governing vascular lumenogenesis.”
Food and Drug Administration U24
I co-authored a successful Data Concepts and Terminology Standards for Clinical Research and Drug Development application to the FDA as an intern at the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium in 2014 with Bron Kisler.
